Client Eligibility Criteria
This is the criteria that is used to determine eligibility for Handyman Services.

Category I Rules: 1. Must be over the age of 55 or disabled and fit within the income guidelines. 2. If the client is unable to pay for the materials for a job, they may request help with locating funds for the cost of materials after an estimate has been done and income verified. This is only if the job fits the category of health and welfare. (No remodeling) 3. RSVP Staff will work with agencies such as the Department of Human Services, local hardware stores, etc., to try and help find donated materials or funds to purchase the materials. The client may be asked to make a partial payment to show good faith. We cannot guarantee we will be able to find the donated money or materials. |

Category II Rules: 1. The Client must be over the age of 55 or disabled and fit the income guidelines. 2. Cannot request help with payment of the cost of materials. 3. Will be asked to make a donation of approximately $5 per hour for the Handyman services. |
Category III
Category III Rules: Clients whose income is above the Category I and II guidelines and who are seniors or disabled, will be assisted on a case by case basis. The types of jobs that will be considered are wheelchair ramps, grab bars, railings for stairs, and other minor household adaptations for the disabled. Only jobs that fit the category of health and safety will be considered. A donation of no less than $5 per hours to the Handyman Project will be expected. |
